Wa..today my blogging mood are really high. Since this morning i had attend an inspection with Engineering DBKL, which is part of my job as Technical Assistant for C&S consulting firm. I really enjoy my work since more than 4 years i join this firm. Learn so much thing which never learn when I study in college. Basically, people said, we will learn more on field rather than theory.
So to my engineering friend, i juz want to share something that i recently involved which make me extra buzy.
Few week a go, my company had called by Malaysia Productivity Cooperation(MPC) which assign by government to study about construction permits in Malaysia. We are selected due to our project under DBKL authorization that's involve us to dealing with DBKL. MPC had select DBKL as their case study since from their finding, dealing for construction permits facing critical problem when comes to local authority, as an older local halls in Malaysia. (DBKL was 1st local authority set up in Malaysia-info for who dunno).
For ur info, Malaysia was ranked at 113/183 for CONSTRUCTION PERMITS. This ranking given by world bank for economies ranking, check this http://doingbusiness.org/rankings.
We r ranked at 18/183 for ease to doing business, beaten by our neighbor Singapore which is at 1st rank and Thailand at rank 17. For dealing with construction permits, Singapore was at 3rd rank, which is 110 better than us. Why this happen??
1) Birokrasi
2) Number's of authorities to deal
3) Human attitude
4) Government policy.
this 4 main reason really affected our construction industry, so that what is the better way to improve our rank from that hundred numbers to become a single digit number??
